Find answers to Frequently asked questions about moving. Travel time, insurance, charges, payment methods, classes of goods not carried etc.
There are some limitations to goods in transit such as glass and internal electronic damage etc. This type of insurance only comes into effect as a result of some pre specified condition such as a vehicle accident, fire, flood. If you have insurance such as home and contents cover, ask your insurer about insurance when moving.
They’ll want to know if the goods they have insured at your current location will be going somewhere else in any case, as a matter of disclosure.
In other words, to recoup the cost of bringing the service to you, a reputable moving service has to charge ‘Depot to Depot’. The difference with us is, (hint, hint) you’ll get a $50.00 discount on your moving cost when ordering your moving boxes through www.boxncratehire.com.au as well as getting their discounted box and crate packages.
Sorry no cheques.
Anything That Is
Eg Fuels (even if in a mower or trimmer should be emptied prior to move), acids, chlorine garden chemicals etc. If you choose a service that may be under resourced for ‘special’ items, then those items may not be transported either. Its good to know beforehand if there is anything that is particularly heavy or awkward so we can be better prepared with the right service and equipment
ValuMove offers a complete range of value-added services designed to save you a lot of hassle. For example:
- Unpacking and home set up
- Vacate Cleaning
- Sale and or rent of Boxes, Hire crates for Home or Office
Save yourself the runaround by getting the services you need under one roof.
The exception for us are baby cots. You need to be responsible for the disassembly/assembly of cots in case they are not rebuilt to safety standards putting your babys’ welfare at risk. And we don’t want to see that happen.
Likewise according to AFRA, the same goes for washing machines, especially the front loading type. Even though most movers should have this experience before hand (and we do from our days delivering white goods) it is best done before the movers arrive.
